The project explores how sequential art, visual storytelling and participatory artistic practices can support adult learning, social inclusion and community engagement across Europe.
Through a combination of workshops, community dialogue sessions and collaborative artistic experimentation, the project develops innovative non-formal educational methodologies that encourage creativity, intercultural exchange and the use of visual narratives as tools for communication, reflection and social participation. The partnership within the project also aims to create transferable educational resources that can be applied in diverse adult learning contexts.

Planned Project Activities
The project is structured around a series of interconnected international activities designed to strengthen cooperation between artists, educators and cultural organisations while developing innovative approaches to adult learning through visual narratives and sequential art. Throughout the implementation period, partners will organise transnational planning and monitoring meetings, community dialogue sessions in Romania, Italy and France, and a series of international workshops exploring artistic research, participatory storytelling, community engagement and contemporary publishing practices.
Alongside these learning activities, the partnership will develop a Digital Learning Toolkit and a Design and Development Road Map, documenting the educational methodologies, facilitation techniques and collaborative practices tested during the project. Dissemination activities, audiovisual documentation and continuous communication will accompany all implementation phases, ensuring the visibility, sustainability and transferability of the project's results across different cultural and educational contexts.
Midterm implemented activities
Since the launch of the project, in January 2025, the partnership has successfully completed the international Planning Meeting in Romania, followed by the first Community Dialogue Session, Professional Workshop and Monitoring Meeting in Italy. These activities brought together artists, educators, facilitators and adult learners from diverse backgrounds, testing participatory methodologies centred on sequential art, visual storytelling and collaborative learning.
In addition, Artivistory organised a methodological pilot workshop in Romania, validating the project's educational approach with adult learners from non-arts backgrounds and exploring the transferability of artistic facilitation methods to interdisciplinary learning environments. Alongside the implementation activities, the partners have developed communication materials, audiovisual documentation and the initial methodological framework that will support the project's Digital Toolkit and Design Road Map.
